Ms. Busi Silwanyana

Busi Silwanyana is an experienced Finance Executive with skills and expertise working with large-scale business in structuring complex high–value transactions and providing strategic leadership focused on fueling sales and profitability growth.
Busi has worked in roles that required collaboration with the commercial sales organization and aligning financing with key business drivers. Busi spent over 15 years in Banking, initially at ABSA and for a significant time worked at Standard Bank Group pre-dominantly in the area of Structured Finance both sourcing and executing high value asset-based and non-asset-based transactions for large companies in both public and the private sector. In addition, Busi has held a number of senior positions in the Business and Commercial Banking divisions including heading Mid-Corporate, Business Segment as well as Lending business. The latest role was at an OEM multi-national company, Philips where she spent 3 years as Head of Capital in Africa where she was recognized for growing health systems financed sales, establishing financing solution with pan-African banks and arranging long-term financing for large-scale health care projects. This experience spans across various geographies having worked in South Africa and the UK and working with counter-parties spanning various markets and geographies.
Busi is a Chartered Accountant (SA) by profession and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from the University of Cape Town, a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting (PGDA) from the University of Cape Town, and MBA from the University of Durham in the UK.

Holly McLaren

Holly McLaren is a Clinical Director at Hugiano. Her career has encompassed clinical practice as a nurse, senior operational management, implementing and heath service planning and change management in the UK, Africa, Europe and the Middle East. She has often worked at the interface of the commercial and health care, writing business cases and developing viable, deliverable and sustainable services. She is also experienced in applying and optimising IT and medtech to healthcare.

Holly has an MBA from Imperial College London, a degree in Politics and Public Administration from Leeds University and a nursing qualification gained at St. Georges Hospital London.

Dr Samukeliso Dube

Dr Dube’s 20 years’ experience in health care has included several senior roles in the delivery and financing of health care, the latest of which was at Philips Healthcare as a Medical Counsel for Africa and Business Development Manager for Southern Africa. Dr Dube worked at ArK as head of Healthcare Investments prior to which she was Africa Director at PATH. This experience spans across geographies, most of which has been spent delivering various models of health care in Africa. Dr Dube has a Degree in Medicine and Surgery (MD) from the University of Zimbabwe, a Master’s in Public Health (MPH), a Diploma Tropical Medicine and Infectious Diseases (DTMH) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Masters in Finance and Investments (MMFI) all from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa, and an Advanced Management Program from Harvard Business School.
